TJ Hartman Racing - Update: Quick Report!

Puyallup, WA - February 17, 2011...

The 2011 Northwest racing season is still a couple of months from the drop of a green flag, and TJ has his car and engine all fresh and ready to go.  One of the drawbacks of being ready so early in the year is the anticipation to fire the engine and smell the aroma of the methanol in the air.

About the time everything was getting buttoned up on TJ's Wesmar powered Maxim back in December, the team learned that one of it's long time friends and supporters would be heading into a battle of his own.  TJ takes the story:  "There is never a good time to hear bad news, but just before Christmas we found out that Marshall(Schlenz) has cancer.  Marshall has been a big supporter since I was in quarter midgets, and he helps me with advice both on and off the track.  We think of him as a part of our family, and we're going to do whatever we can to get him healthy again."

The team will update the plans for 2011 as the Northwest season openers draw closer, but for now our thoughts, prayers, and priorities are with Marshall and his family.  We look forward to having him back at our side soon.  In TJ's words:  "Marshall is the director of fun and eating on our team, and I can't wait to hear what he has planned for us next and to get one of his hot dogs at the track!"

Next scheduled stop -  Asking that all of you keep Marshall and his family in your prayers.
