TJ Hartman Racing PR - Marathon in Edmonton for EBR Motorsports & sprintcar driver TJ Hartman!

Edmonton, AB Canada - August 13, 2013...

Puyallup WA sprintcar driver TJ Hartman has entered the annual Edmonton Marathon to raise funds for Kidsport Edmonton.

EBR Motorsports owners Scotty Evans and Lisa Davies began the 2013 season with a goal; to raise $2500 for Kidsport Edmonton.  The team donates the purse money derived from their race team winnings to the organization that helps children to be involved in all forms of sports.  The accident this past weekend while en route to Castrol Raceway put a small glitch in the plan.

Owner (Scotty)Evans isn't one to let that stop him.  "We at EBR Motorsports again would like to thank everyone that has offered help to get us back on the track!" he states optimistically. "We are completely humbled from the offers of support from fellow racers and teams in every division.  Fortunately, it’s looking like we will return to Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway on August 17th with Rookie driver Kenny Lett behind the wheel."

After their 3rd place finish in Friday night’s preliminary event with veteran driver TJ Hartman, the team was gambling on a good finish in the final on Saturday at the Extreme Cup sprintcar race to help boost their contribution to KidSport Edmonton; currently sitting at $740.00.  Unfortunately, on the way to the track the team’s transporter was involved in an accident that completely destroyed the trailer and damaged the race car, along with some of the equipment inside. "Thankfully, only our pride was hurt and we were able to salvage much of the racing equipment." states Evans.

While still in Canada, Puyallup Native and aspiring sprintcar driver TJ Hartman has stepped up and will enter the Edmonton Marathon to take place on Sunday, August 25th.  Hartman is committed to helping EBR Motorsports reach their racing season goal of $2500 for KidSport Edmonton. The 21 year old is challenging himself to beat veteran marathon runners to be first at the 5km mark.  "Running for KidSport Edmonton on foot is going to be so fun." he states. "It feels good knowing I will be running for such a great charity and to help EBR Motorsports reach their goal."

TJ will be accepting pledges to raise funds for this worthy cause.  100% of these pledges will go directly to KidSport Edmonton.  Each personal or company/corporation pledge will receive a tax receipt from KidSport Edmonton for the contribution to his effort.  To find out how you can make a pledge, contact TJ or the EBR Motorsports team on their respective Facebook pages at:
