TJ Hartman Racing - UPDATE - TJ Thanks His Crew!

Puyallup, WA - November 9, 2008...

TJ and his crew sat down for a quiet dinner to reflect on the season past, and to share a few moments outside the atmosphere of a race track and competition. The team already had their time to celebrate the accomplishments of 2008 at the Grays Harbor Raceway Champions Banquet last month. Now it was time to simply say thank you to those who are not on the stage and in the spot light each Saturday night.

This was the second year TJ recognized the same exact crew for their help, and he is looking forward to many more years with the same faces. TJ describes the night out: "I don't think I can ever say thank you enough to my crew for all of their help. We just like to get together after the season is over, and talk about regular stuff - not just racing. Of course they always keep the teasing part going, but it's fun, and I hope I can keep borrowing them for a long time."

TJ is already preparing for 2009. The work involved in running his own race team isn't confined to just the race car and shop. TJ continues: "We sent the engine back to Wesmar to be freshened up. APG sent me a new fuel bladder to replace the one that was damaged at the end of the year, and we're going to freshen up the rear ends in both cars. I've been touching bases with my sponsors from 2008 to thank them, and let them know I'm ready to represent them again in 2009. So far, it's looking pretty good. I'll be heading to Florida again in December for the Performance Racing Industry (trade)show. I'm already anxious to race again, but I have plenty of things that keep me busy getting ready for next season."

Now 17 years old, TJ has put together a short clip of pictures and video clips that shed some light on who he is, where he started, how he arrived at this point, and what he hopes to gain from the experience. TJ describes the video: "It was just a lot of fun to sit down and talk about racing - everything from being a little kid, to being rookie of the year. I think everyone will enjoy watching it."
