TJ Hartman Racing - UPDATE - TJ Double Dips in Florida - Then Returns to Washington for Duty!

Puyallup, WA - December 18, 2008...

TJ and his family spent a few days in Orlando, Fl taking in Disney World, Universal Studios, and the main attraction - the Performance Racing Industry trade show at the massive 1,000,000 sq ft Orange County Convention Center complex. The 17 year old from Puyallup, WA was making his second trip to the 3-day event and discovered, this is a must do event every year if he plans on hanging around in the racing industry.

A year ago, TJ was simply looking to learn how to communicate with faces he had never met. This year, it was evident he had matured and made an impression on them. TJ picks up the story: "I was a lot more relaxed this year. I can't thank John and Pattie(MPD Racing) enough for allowing me this opportunity again. I start out the show each morning by visiting with them, and that really helps boost me up to go meet people. This year was so much easier, because many of the company representatives recognized me from last year, and that made it easier for me to talk with them. It's also kind of cool to be walking around and see people I've met through racing. I saw a few people from my quarter midget days too."

This year the Performance Racing Industry trade show hosted more than 1,400 racing exhibitors, displaying everything that has to do with the racing world. All of the latest information and parts are displayed under one roof - giving those that use or sell them, the first glance at seeing what the coming year will bring. TJ adds: "It's just a lot of fun being there. I get to talk face to face with my product sponsors, and see what's new out there. All of the biggest names in racing are there, and it's really cool to be walking around and talking with them. MPD Racing helped me attend the show again this year. I'm really thankful for their great parts on my sprint car, and their friendship too. I can't wait to go again next year!"

TJ flew to Florida without his family last year. This time, they all went together and made a family vacation out of the 6,000 mile round trip. TJ describes the second leg of his adventure to Florida: "We've never really taken a vacation that didn't involve racing, and this one still kind of did! But it was cool that my mom and sister had something to do while my dad and I were at PRI. We've been planning this for awhile, so everyone was pretty excited. I got to go to Universal Studios too, and Sunday we went over to Cocoa Beach and waded around in the ocean. It was weird to be walking around on the beach in shorts while it was snowing at home. I also got to eat at my favorite place - Sonic Drive-In. We don't have any of them out here yet. The food is good, but the cool part is the car hops have those change machine things on their belts. It cracks me up to watch them give us our change!"

Up next for TJ is getting his schedule put together. He finishes the update: "The tracks are just starting to put out their schedules, so we'll take a look and see where we can fit in about 25 races. I'll be making some sponsor announcements after the New Year, and I'm pretty excited about that. The cars are pretty much ready, the shop is clean, and I'm really glad it is heated because it's a lot colder here than in Florida!" TJ adds with excitement: "I can't wait to get back in my seat!"

TJ Hartman Racing is grateful for the support from our 2008 sponsors, and we encourage you to show your enthusiasm for the team by supporting those who support us. Very special thanks to Pattie and John from MPD Racing for making the PRI show possible for us.

Next scheduled stop - Sidewalk Snow Shoveling Duty!
